Business gas quotations are very much bespoke services since each supplier will offer different prices depending on business type, location and credit worthiness.

Some Business Gas Suppliers will not accept gas contracts at all from sectors which they deem to be high risk. This is why you may not find comparison sites similar to those in use for the residential markets. If such sites were to be relied upon, then the information generated would have high potential for inaccuracy, and could result in serious problems ( deemed or rollover contracts ) for the consumer if a contract were to be rejected or have special terms imposed.

A business gas supplier recently ( April 2019) published prices of  5.90 per Kwh with a standing charge of £6.00 per day. This was a real price imposed on a small shop in Glasgow. The customer is now paying 25 pence per day standing charge and 3.69p per Kwh.With gas consumption at 75000 Kwh (the equivalent of a small restaurant business)this would have meant the customer overpaying by £3756.25 per annum excluding taxes.
