Roll- over contracts

Like most business contracts, energy contracts contain an agreement about what will happen when the contract expires. In some cases, this agreement is for a new contract to be formed automatically should the customer fail to agree new terms.

The new contract formed will usually be at a price of the energy supplier's choosing, and as such is likely to be expensive.

The maximum period of roll- over allowed for a micro business is one year.
